Pastel Pink and Soft Grey Tights

Pastel pink is the must have hue this winter. Vogue fashion features director, Sarah Harris, advises "Pink makes the prettiest addition to winter wardrobes; partner it with soft grey and black for an instant burst of femininity,"

At her son's Christening recently, my lovely friend Nichola put a gorgeous spin on the trend, by teaming her pale pink ensemble with soft grey tights. The coloured tights complimented the nude pallet and brought the outfit together beautifully.

A street style snapper caught this shot of the stylish look at Milan Fashion Week. The fashionista teamed her grey tights and pencil skirt with an AW staple pink coat. Vogue also features a pink skirt and the colour opaques in their 'AW How To Wear' piece.

To bring white bang up to date, wear ultra feminine embroidered and embellished cotton pieces, teamed with vibrant coloured tights to make your girly outfit pop.

We loved the look at Ruffian's show at London Fashion Week, particularly the white ensemble with colour tights. We have picked some designer and high-street pieces so you can re-create the look. It's so pretty, unique and makes the perfect outfit for a special occasion, this Spring time.

Colour Pop at New York Fashion Week 2014

Since it began last week we have been on NYFW watch here at Essex'ee Legs! I've been devouring the press updates from each show, the street style snippets of glamorous celeb spectators and keeping an eye on newly emerging trends.

One trend that really jumped out was the pops of vibrant colour used by designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais (the designers behind Ruffian) and Altuzarra.

Shining like a welcoming beacon amid the shades of grey, black and other neutral tones that have so far dominated the runways, both labels presented a refreshingly vibrant and beautiful AW14 collections.

We were excited to see coloured tights featuring heavily in Ruffian's collection. Lots of block colouring and clashing brights made up the ultra-feminine line and illuminated the runway. A cinched in waist and flared skirt was my particular favourite recurring look!

Baby you're a firework!

All this week the Essex'ee Legs team will be celebrating all things sparkly and colourful to join in the festivities of bonfire night! Reminiscing about fireworks and huddling round a bonfire with family and friends, always brings back childhood memories! I'm sure we all remember being told the story of Guy Fawkes...caught red handed ready to light 36 barrels of gun powder in the Houses of Parliament on the 5th of November 1605, Guy Fawkes was captured and executed. Such a heart-warming story! Bonfires were lit to celebrate the kings safety, so the 5th of November has been traditionally celebrated every year since, albeit a little more elaborately.

If you're attending a friends bonfire party or a spectacular firework event, be sure to wrap up warm and wear some colour tights to add an explosion of vibrancy to your outfit ;) Jonathan Aston 40 Denier Opaque Tights are cosy and are available in 4 bright colours.

String as many lights and bunting along your fences and tree's as you can for some enchanting decor. Stuff yourselves with hot dogs, pumpkin pie and smores! Whoever came up with the idea of smores is a genius! Simply toast your marshmallows on the bonfire, take a piece of chocolate and sandwich between to biscuits- Delicious!


So layer up with some fabulous colour hosiery and cosy knits, have fun and enjoy the fireworks, safely :)
