Tartan Tights for Burns Night

Tartan print is a huge deal this season; a splash of the plaid print can breathe a new lease of life into an old favourite, that has been left lurking in the back of your wardrobe for a while. As it's Burns Night on 25th January, many of us will be celebrating the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns and it is the perfect excuse to wear our classic tartan tights. Not that we ever need an excuse to show off our favourite print hosiery!

Guys, throw on your kilts and girls, add a splash of tartan to your outfits too, with tartan tights and you'll be ready for your Ceilidh dancing!

Festival Fashion Part 1

I adore the abandonment of all style rules when it comes to festivals, everyone embraces their free spirit and it results in some gorgeously unique looks. The Coachella festival in California passed in a haze of amazing music, balmy nights, hippy headdresses, bohemian style and celebrity selfies! Due to the sizzling Californian sun teeny shorts, bikini tops and ankle boots or sandals were a great wardrobe choice, but rain tends to be part and parcel at British festivals!

With Glastonbury kicking off this weekend we have picked our fave festival looks to inspire you! Always add some on trend socks or floral tights to your essentials list, that you can chop and change, to keep any mud to a minimum! Hosiery takes up such little space in your back pack (or suitcase if you're glamping!) and can add a quirky edge too! Fingers crossed light rain is only forecast on Saturday so this means more freedom for your festival wardrobes!

First up on our fave festival style list are floral leggings and sneakers!

On trend floral prints are everywhere this Summer but team your floral leggings with sneakers, to add a contrasting cool edge to your look. This outfit is also sooo comfy and laid back, perfectly in tune with the festival vibe.

Get the look with Pamela Mann Zesty Printed Footless Tights - bohemian style bold floral printed footless tights

Pink ombre and white for Spring

There's nothing quite like wearing a beautifully crisp, white cotton outfit, in the Spring time. It adds style this time of year, and it never fails to uplift my spirits! To bring white bang up to date, wear ultra feminine embroidered and embellished cotton pieces, teamed with vibrant coloured tights to make your girly outfit pop.

Tights, Bag, Shoes, Skirt, Top
We loved the look at Ruffian's show at London Fashion Week, particularly the white ensemble with colour tights. We have picked some designer and high-street pieces so you can re-create the look. It's so pretty, unique and makes the perfect outfit for a special occasion, this Spring time.

Jonathan Aston Nikki Dip Dye Tights in Pink Soda
We were all so excited for the arrival of the new Jonathan Aston Nikki Dip Dye Tightsoffering a colourful dip dyed look in pink soda. These gorgeous ombre tights will really stand out against white, or team them with another block colour such as grey, black, or a clashing bright purple! Show off graduating colour change in the print tights with a shorter hemline at informal occasions, or create a casual and fun weekend look.

We chose some sky scraper sandals to nail the funky tights and sandals look but if you're not keen on adopting this new trend then team your coloured tights with some feminine pointed court shoes.

The design of the ombre tights are a celebration of individuality... be bold, bright, exuberant and have fun with fashion. Mix and match to find your perfect look to show off your injection of colour!

Highland Fling! Work the tartan trend this winter!

Tartan is having a HUGE moment! The check print is all over the catwalk for A/W 2013. Designers Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney and many more, all had tartan featured heavily in their shows. Tartan on Tartan was the most popular way to show off the trend. If you want to take a more subtle approach for an everyday look, tartan tights are the way to do it!
